The following is a summary of damage reported at Nissho Corporation in Japan as of 14:00 JST on Friday, March 18, 2011.
Status of Plant operation
- Tohoku Plant (Osaki-city, Miyagi)
Tohoku Plant recovered from power outage and cut off of water so that we are checking machines and re-arranging production.
Employees commute by auto has been difficult due to shortage of gasoline. We will inform the resumption accordingly.
- Iwaki Plant (Iwaki-city, Fukushima) status same as March 16, 2011
We close Iwaki Plant for the employees' safety as first priority due to expansion of accident in the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. Being closed is until March 21, 2011 in order to follow instruction of in-house waiting.
The resumption is depended on nuclear disaster relief and will inform accordingly.
